In the Summertime 1by ~popantique

I thought I'd already submitted these! Clearly not.

These are mad old (a historical curiosity!)... My final year of my BFA, I took the required Illustration & Portfolio course. This assignment was a collection inspired by a period or style of art. I chose vintage pinup art. All the posese are sourced from old pinup paintings. Unfortunately, I worked so hard on the figures (which still have some wonkiness), that I think the design suffered slightly.

Anyway, this is the first of the 5 original figures. When brushing up my portfolio to apply for grad school, I added 5 more, which I've yet to scan.

This is just too much fun, fabulous job. I'm really liking the cut and more so that you used such cool colors for a summertime theme, and it works! Nice job
